Ink illustration of a semi wild mottled white horse or pony.

Drawn using one of my own photographs as reference, I used mostly Sakura pigma micron marker pens and an Akashiya Sai ink brush pen for the darkest areas.


I photographed this beautiful horse in a heathland and forest area in Wareham, Dorset, in the south of England, UK, where a number of hardy ponies and other livestock have been introduced to help provide more stucture of vegetation and they freely roam large areas. If you’re lucky while out walking you can spot a herd of semi-feral horses, ponies, donkeys and cows as well as various species of wildlife.
